CANADIAN FORCES
AIR COMMAND
The 'Widowmaker' or CF-104 Starfighter
took a special brand of courage and ability to fly. This is the
airplane that promoted the expression..."like strapping
your ass to a rocket!" This is the era when the infamous
Sea King helicopters entered the Canadian inventory.
Enter the computer age...and
a whole new ball game.....up to the sophisticated CF-18.
The RCAF ceased to exist in
1968...and it's units became part of an 'integrated' Canadian
Armed Forces.Seven years later, in 1975 CF Air Command was formed...effectively
returning us to an identifiable air force.
In recognition of this spirit,
we feature the Air Command badge in this design.
