One evening at the dinner table,
I asked my (then 6 year old) son Iain to draw me a picture of
a tank. This was the result. Next day I dropped into the HQ o
the Strathcona's and showed the CO.
It was November. The regimental
kit shop went through 288 kiddie's t-shirts in the next 30 days.
The lettering was changed to include Uncle, Aunt, Brother, Sister
and Grampa.
Of note, Major MacKinnon bought
several shirts saying "My Uncle is a Strathcona" and
sent them as Christmas presents to his neices and nephews....who's
father was the CO of 12 RBC!
