One of the finest infantry regiments
in Canadian history, the colouring for this design is reminecent
of a faded LER shoulder title. The heraldic 'beastie' in the centre
of the badge is supposed to be a coyote....which was rendered
by an heraldic artist in England using the heraldic standards
of his day.
